Enjoyed spending some time downtown with this lovely senior last weekend. It was freezing but we had so much fun! Emily you were great! Enjoy your last year of high school! It’s going to go by so fast!
So much color, life, and excitement surrounding our city these past five days! It has been incredible to watch the process of each artist’s creation unfold on our city’s walls! This, by far, is my favorite thing that has ever happened here in Jackson, MI. I feel so grateful for the Jackson Young Professionals and all of the sponsors who worked so hard to make this event happen. My family has enjoyed this event so much and will continue to enjoy these murals for years to come!
Tomorrow the murals will all be completed but here are some of my favorite images capturing them in the making.
Meghan and John have been together since high school and seeing how loved these two were by their families and how well both families blended together was so beautiful. It was like one big family!
Moments before the ceremony John and Meghan prayed together (making sure not to see each other before the ceremony). His mom was so sweet and teary eyed before, during, and after the ceremony. John's uncle lead the ceremony. After their I do's they, along with their bridal party, headed to downtown Jackson in a trolley bus. The toasts before dinner were hilarious, the dinner fantastic, and the dancing incredible! The bride did such a beautiful job of completely transforming the space (Lumen Christi High School. Where they met!) into a beautiful banquet hall! Meghan added so many beautiful touches to their day, including their bouquets! Their night was so much fun! EVERYONE danced (even grandpa got up and danced with the bride) into the night and the two took off together through sparkling lights to their honeymoon!
Congratulations Meghan and John! You are a kind and fun couple and it was such an honor to be a part of your day!
Heartfelt embraces, love stories, and laughter! Lisa & Brennan's day had it all! Their day was simply beautiful and such an honor to be a part of!
We arrived just in time to see Lisa all teary eyed as she sat down to read her love letter from Brennan and note from her second love...her cat (A.K.A. "Allie Cat"). Perfect timing just before makeup! Though, not even makeup could keep the tears at bay throughout the day for this sweet bride. All day long Brennan was so happy that he could not stop smiling!
Father Jim Shaver, knowing Brennan and Lisa well, led such a beautiful ceremony full of encouragement and blessing. After the ceremony, family and friends enjoyed cocktail hour at the Jackson Country Club, while the bridal party celebrated together on the party bus on their way to Art 634, Jackson's historic train station, & The Grand River Memorial City Park for some Jackson skyline shots. Brennan's brother (Best Man) and friends kept things pretty alive with lots of jokes and even a prank (See pictures below)!
DJ Matthew Wade kept everyone on their toes with an incredibly fun kissing couples game and impressive and hilarious reading of Brennan and Lisa's versions of their love story! After a spectacular dinner (which included delicious homemade Galumpkis made that morning by the Father of the Groom!) and dancing was under way we headed out on the golf course for some sunset pictures!
It was a true pleasure to be a part of this wedding. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful and we got to serve alongside a such spectacular professionals! I want to give a huge thank you to my assistant photographer Erica. You are AMAZING and a joy to work with! And big thank you to both Jenna and Spencer of Dream Real Video. You guys were so wonderful to work with! You can check out their beautiful video of Brennan and Lisa's day here! And last but not least-Major props to DJ Matthew Wade & your assistant Caleb for making the night so incredibly fun! You truly blessed us all with a wonderful night! I look forward to working with all of you again in the future!
